The level can be kept simple by reducing the number of cards in use. The activity worksheets can be used for a written reply if children can cope but most of the work can be done orally 1-1 or with a small group. The connectives for sentences with two halves often present quite a problem for kids with delayed language skills and need a lot of practice. Could also be used for EAL.

These were made in 1-1 sessions with different children to put down their ideas and info for discussion and revision. An example can be re-used and modified for another child. A printed copy can be a starting point for adding new ideas around the edge.
